Second Saturday Storytime and Guided Tours Return

    September 8, 2021

Beginning Saturday, September 11, Second Saturdays will return to the Cosmosphere.

Reno County parents and their children who frequented Bluebird Books story time on Saturdays prior to the bookstore closing, will be glad to hear “Miss Dell” (Dell Swearer) is back and at the Cosmosphere! For eight years, Swearer read every Saturday at the bookstore and developed a large fan club of children and their families. She is also a Cosmosphere volunteer and former member of its Foundation Board.

Storytime will be from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in CosmoKids, the new interactive STEM area at the Cosmosphere.

Guided tours of Cosmosphere’s Hall of Space Museum will also be available on Saturday. Tours will begin in the lobby at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The activities are free to Reno County residents, who have free access to the Hall of Space with a pass obtained by showing their ID at the Box Office. Out-of-county guests must purchase a ticket at the Box Office.

For more information call 620.662.2305 or visit cosmo.org for ticket and showtimes.
